Use content you have permission to use, check imported cards, and keep a backup of work that matters.
Using these services
These terms cover your use of DeckGrab, StudyDeck and the DeckGrab extension, provided by the maintainers of their open-source projects. By using the services, you agree to these terms to the extent permitted by applicable law. If you do not agree, stop using them. If you are not old enough to agree on your own, involve a parent or guardian before using the services.
Your cards and other people’s work
You retain any rights you have in the content you create or import. Using these services does not give us ownership of your decks. You authorize only the processing needed to carry out your requested import, storage, study, export or transfer.
Import and share only material you own or are permitted to use. Access to a Quizlet set does not automatically grant permission to redistribute it. Respect copyright, privacy, school rules and the terms of the services you use. Do not use the tools to access private material without permission or bypass a login, payment requirement or other access restriction.
Use the tools responsibly
Do not use the services unlawfully, harass others, distribute harmful code, interfere with their operation, overload the import endpoint, or attempt unauthorized access to other people’s data or systems. We may restrict misuse or suspend a feature when needed to protect the service, users or others.
Installing and using the extension
Installing the DeckGrab extension permits its stated access to Quizlet, DeckGrab and StudyDeck to provide the import feature. You remain in control of requests and whether to save a returned preview. The extension does not grant additional rights to third-party content or promise to overcome access restrictions.
Use releases provided by the project or its verified extension-store listing. Installation, store distribution and browser updates are also subject to the relevant browser or store provider’s terms. You can stop using the helper and remove it through your browser at any time. Removing it does not automatically delete the decks saved by either website.
Import limits and third-party services
DeckGrab and StudyDeck are independent projects, not affiliated with or endorsed by Quizlet. Third-party names and marks belong to their respective owners.
Importing depends on content you can access and on Quizlet’s availability and page structure. Private or removed sets, sign-in requirements, verification prompts and changes to Quizlet may prevent importing. The current importer supports text cards; image/audio-only sides may be missing. Check the card count and definitions before studying. A matching count is a useful check, not a guarantee of accuracy or permission to use the content.
Local storage and backups
These tools are not a backup service. Saved cards and study progress normally stay in the browser and device you use, with separate storage for each website. Clearing site data, losing a device or changes in browser storage can remove your work. Export important decks. We cannot restore local-only data we do not hold. The Privacy Policy explains storage, imports and hosting in more detail.
Availability and study results
The tools are currently free to use. Optional support payments are handled by the linked third-party provider and are not required to study. We may update, change or discontinue features. There is no promise of uninterrupted access, complete imports, a particular grade or an educational outcome.
To the extent permitted by law, the services are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of accuracy, reliability or fitness for a particular purpose. Review study material yourself and follow your teacher’s or institution’s requirements.
Responsibility and your legal rights
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the maintainers are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses resulting from use of the services, such as lost local data or interrupted study. Nothing in these terms excludes a responsibility that cannot legally be excluded, or limits mandatory consumer rights you have under applicable law.
The projects’ source code is provided under the license included in each repository. These service terms do not replace that license or grant rights in third-party study content.
Questions and updates
Questions about this policy or a privacy request? Contact the project maintainers through StudyDeck on GitHub. GitHub pages and issues can be public: ask for a private contact method before sharing personal information, and do not post private decks, passwords or account details.
These terms may be updated as the services change. We will publish the revised text and date here and provide an in-product notice for material changes. Changes apply prospectively, subject to any notice or consent required by law.
